Dental Bur (Clinic)

Dental Bur Block

Sterilizable Bur blocks for individual composition of instruments

Today, a large variety of instruments is available to the dentist and, therefore, he has adopted specific treatment methods and techniques. Moreover, economic and hygienic aspects play an important role.

Komet aluminium bur blocks combine functionality with individuality. They accommodate instruments specially selected for individual treatment methods and preparation techniques. These blocks are available for FG, contra‐angle and hand‐piece instruments. The swivel lid protects the instruments against damage and prevents them from falling out of the tray. The dentists can clearly arrange the instruments for convenient access when needed. After preparation has been completed, used and unused instruments can be disinfected and cleaned in a suitable agent and ergonomic, hygienic and economic procedure.

nuvoDent and Komet provides and expands our existing range of aluminium and stainless steel bur blocks by adding a few new varieties. A particularly interesting new addition is the bur block 9993L6 which allows the storage of both rotary instruments and sonic tips.

Autoclave

A medical autoclave is a device that uses steam to sterilize equipment and other objects. This means that all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores are inactivated. Autoclaves are found in many medical settings, laboratories, and other places that need to ensure the sterility of an object. In all autoclaves, items should always be separated to allow the steam to penetrate the load evenly.

In dentistry, autoclaves provide sterilisation of dental instruments according to health technical memorandum 01‐05 (HTM01‐05). According to HTM01‐05, instruments can be kept, once sterilized using a vacuum autoclave for up to 12 months using sealed pouches.

Fiber Post

The radio‐opaque fibre posts!
The glass fibre will prevent the post from breaking and makes it very resilient and it will not like a hard and numb metal post transmit stress and shock to the dentine. It will work together with the dentine to absorb any stress or shock as it has about the same elasticity as the dentine itself.

Articulating Paper

Articulating paper is a diagnostic tool used in dentistry to highlight occlusal contacts and the distribution of occlusal forces. That is, it marks those points on the teeth where the teeth contact during biting and grinding. Articulating paper is made of a thin, non‐adhesive paper strip covered in fluorescent ink or dyecontaining wax. A strip of articulating paper is placed between the teeth while the desired mandibular movements are performed. Articulating paper is manufactured as "books" of many leaves which are torn out and used when required. These can be rectangular or dental‐arch (horse shoe) shaped.

Example uses of articulating paper include:
• It is routinely used to check the occlusal surfaces of newly placed dental restorations, such as fillings or crowns; and dental prostheses, such as dentures or bridges.
• It is also used to highlight occlusal interferences, e.g. in persons with bruxism

Prosthodontic

Prosthodontic dentistry is the specialized field of dentistry that focuses on repairing or replacing missing teeth using a variety of techniques and devices including full dentures, dental bridges, crowns, and dental implants. Prosthodontic dentistry involves fitting dentures or bridges for patients whose teeth are already missing, or it may include extraction of teeth that are too severely damaged or whose tooth decay is too severe to be treated by any other means. Devices used in prosthodontic dentistry (also called restorative dentistry) fall into two categories:

• Fixed devices include fillings or crowns that are fitted specifically to a tooth or teeth and cemented into place. Fixed devices also include dental implants, which are secured into your jaw. Ideally, fixed devices will last for anywhere from five to 15 years, depending on the material from which they are made.
• Removable devices include full dentures or partial dentures, which are removed at night for cleaning.

In addition, a prosthodontist may be involved in treatments to help manage jaw problems. In some cases, these conditions are treated with a customized mouth guard for the patient to wear at night. In other cases, a prosthodontic procedure such as a crown, bridge or implant, may be needed.

Endodontic

Endodontic Treatments (Root Canal Therapy) Our teeth are meant to last a lifetime. Sometimes, however, damage occurs to a tooth (often from a deep cavity or an injury that causes a tooth to crack) and the inside of the tooth becomes infected. This infection damages the pulp of the tooth – the network of blood vessels and nerves inside.

Left untreated, the damaged pulp can cause infection that will damage the bone around the tooth and cause swelling and pain. If the damaged tooth becomes infected, your dentist, or a dental specialist called an Endodontist, may have to perform an endodontic treatment (often called Root Canal Therapy) to save it.

Endodontic treatment involves opening the tooth, removing the damaged pulp, cleaning, shaping, filling and sealing the tooth. Depending upon how much infection there is in the injured tooth, you may be put on medicine before your dentist or Endodontist can begin to work.

Ultrasonic Scalers

We’re offering a range of reasonably priced, modern and compact ultrasonic scaler machines using piezoelectric technology. These machines are suitable for use by dentists or trained dental hygienists.

Some ultrasonic scaling devices offer a scaling system that is designed for use with industry standard 25K to 31k scaling inserts in the same handpiece. The advanced electronics ensures smooth effortless calculus removal, even at low power settings, and compensates for the degree of tenacity of the deposits to ensure maximum patient comfort, and reduced operator fatigue. Its range includes machines with variable power LED lights to further facilitate the dentists’ tasks by improving visibility of the work to be carried out.

Handpiece

There are a wide range of Handpieces for scaler machines. We offer handpieces using with both Satalec and EMS compatible connections, and also with LED lights for those dentists who have LED scaler machines. Our EMS compatible handpieces have the traditional EMS threads so a wide variety of scaler tips can be used with them. Our handpieces are all autoclavable and their design has been influenced by the precision engineering background.

Our handpieces deliver a steadily increasing level of ultrasonic power, according to the power output of your scaler machine. They make an attractive low cost alternative to buying second handpieces from expensive brands, improved performance and durability.

Tips

Our tips are manufactured from a range of special materials, which are designed to be strong, flexible, resist corrosion and give a reasonable tip life.

Each tip is initially produced using state‐of‐the‐art Japanese 7 axis CNC machines. After machining, they then undergo at least 30 additional process and inspections to ensure that each tip will function safely and correctly in the dental surgery.
